Aileen Xu – ‘Honestly’ Album Release Party + Performance + Benefit (Nov 15)

So fall has clearly arrived in LA, 626 Night Market is in its off season for the rest of the year, and we’re all taking a little breather from a crazy and fun-filled summer.  Well, today I wanted to share a little bit of what I’ve been working on since the last night market ended.  These past two and half months, I’ve been writing, recording, and producing my debut album ‘Honestly’ and it’s been challenging yet refreshing to get into super-creative mode.  Well, I’m almost finished with the album and it’s set to release Nov 14!  More importantly, I want to invite you all to celebrate with me at my ‘Honestly’ Album Release Party + Performance event on Friday Nov 15 in Pasadena!

The event is free and open, so bring your friends along and come out to enjoy a night of food, drinks, and live music.  We’re also donating a portion of food and drink sales to nonprofit WriteGirl, so we could all have fun and do good at the same time.  WriteGirl provides writing workshops and mentorship to young girls in the greater Los Angeles area, promoting creativity and self-expression to empower girls.  I’m so excited to have WriteGirl as a part of my album release party.  As someone who’s been writing her entire life, I truly believe in using writing to express and empower—that’s what my music is all about.

I’m really happy to be able to share my music, bring people together from different corners of my life (including my awesome 626 Night Market family), enjoy amazing food (check out 168’s featured dishes below), and contribute to a good cause all at once!  Being on 626 Night Market staff has really showed me that a good event should be a platform & hub for the community and create value to benefit the world in some way.  So with everything I do, I try to encompass others and make it a win-win situation for everybody.  So join the fun and invite others along!  Share the love.  I’d really love to see all of your beautiful faces out there.  🙂
